ADR loading provision CV10

Cylinders lie along or across the vehicle axis (across at the front wall); stable or secured ones may stand; flat ones must be wedged.

Cylinders (as defined in 1.2.1) are laid parallel or at right angles to the vehicle or container long axis, with those near the forward transverse wall laid across it. Short, wide cylinders of about 30 cm diameter and over may lie lengthwise with valve protection pointing to the middle. Cylinders that are stable enough, or held in devices that stop them overturning, may stand upright. Cylinders laid flat must be wedged, attached or secured so they cannot move.
