Label model 4.1 (flammable solids, self-reactive and polymerizing substances, and solid desensitized explosives): flame, black.
Label model 4.1 is the hazard label for flammable solids, self-reactive and polymerizing substances, and solid desensitized explosives. Symbol: flame, black. Layout: white background with 7 vertical red stripes; figure 4 in black in the bottom corner. Like all labels it is a diamond of minimum 100 mm by 100 mm (reducible in proportion on packages too small for that), affixed to packages as Column (5) of Table A requires.

Note. Under 5.2.2.1.9 a 4.1 label also signals possible flammability for self-reactive substances, so no label 3 is added; type B self-reactives also take label 1 unless the competent authority waives it.
