ADR mixed packing provision MP12
As MP11 (5 kg per inner, no Class 5.1 PG I/II partners), with packages capped at 45 kg, or 27 kg in fibreboard boxes.
MP12 allows mixed packing in a 6.1.4.21 combination packaging when each inner packaging holds no more than 5 kg. Partners may be same-class goods of another classification code or goods of other classes whose entry also permits mixing, excluding Class 5.1 packing group I or II, or goods outside ADR, provided nothing reacts dangerously. A package may weigh at most 45 kg, falling to 27 kg when the outer packaging is a fibreboard box.
| Value | Applies when |
|---|---|
| 5 kg | per inner packaging |
| 45 kg | maximum package mass |
| 27 kg | maximum package mass with fibreboard box outer packaging |
Note. On page 176 the MP7 to MP12 labels are printed as a column beside the text; the texts are assigned to them in printed order (MP12 is the sixth block, the one carrying the 45 kg / 27 kg package limits).
