ADR mixed packing provision MP22
Class 1 articles: same UN number, own non-functioning means of initiation, compatibility groups C, D, E, or MP24; no other classes.
MP22 lets the articles share a package with articles of the same UN number. Class 1 goods of other UN numbers are barred except their own means of initiation that will not function in normal carriage, articles of compatibility groups C, D and E, or combinations MP24 allows. Other classes and non-ADR goods may not be included. A mixed package may need its classification revised under 2.2.1.1, and 5.4.1.2.1 (b) governs the description in the transport document.
Conditions
- (a) Own means of initiation, if they will not function under normal carriage conditions; or
- (b) articles of compatibility groups C, D and E; or
- (c) as provided for by MP24.
Note. Labels MP21 to MP23 on page 178 are printed in a column beside the text; texts are assigned in printed order.
