ADR packing instruction IBC06

Heading in ADR: “PACKING INSTRUCTION”

Solids under IBC06 may use metal, rigid plastics or composite (11HZ1/11HZ2/21HZ1/21HZ2/31HZ1) IBCs; see 4.1.3.4 if they may liquefy.

IBC06 permits metal IBCs (11, 21 and 31 series), rigid plastics IBCs (H1 and H2 types) and composite IBCs of the HZ1 and HZ2 types listed in permitted_packagings. The general rules in sections 4.1.1 to 4.1.3 apply. If the solid could turn liquid in transit, 4.1.3.4 must be followed. B12 requires UN 2907 IBCs to be at the packing group II performance level and forbids those tested to packing group I criteria.
