ADR packing instruction P101
Heading in ADR: “P101 PACKING INSTRUCTION”
Packaging must carry approval from the origin country competent authority; the transport document names that country by its vehicle distinguishing sign.
The packaging must hold an approval from the competent authority of the origin country; where the origin is not an ADR Contracting Party, the first Contracting Party on the route grants it instead. The transport document must record the approval, giving the international vehicle distinguishing sign of the approving country (see 5.4.1.2.1 (e)).
| documents | Transport document statement that the packaging was approved by the competent authority of the named country (sign per 5.4.1.2.1 (e)). |

Note. The distinguishing sign is the one used on motor vehicles in international road traffic (for example under the 1949 Geneva or 1968 Vienna road traffic conventions).
Refers to: 5.4.1.2.1 (e).
