ADR packing instruction P143

Heading in ADR: “P143 PACKING INSTRUCTION”

Explosive articles in bags, receptacles or partitioned trays inside boxes or drums, or in 6HH2 composite packagings instead.

Class 1 packing instruction: it sets out which inner, intermediate and outer packagings may be combined for the explosives assigned to it, and 4.1.1, 4.1.3 and the explosives rules of 4.1.5 apply on top. Inners are kraft paper, plastics, textile or rubberised textile bags, receptacles, or plastics or wood trays with dividing partitions. A composite packaging 6HH2 (plastics receptacle in a solid plastics box) may be used in place of the inner-plus-outer combination.
