Solids of PG II/III: combination, single drums, jerricans, boxes, bags, composites and pressure receptacles, with net mass limits.
A general instruction for solids of packing groups II and III. Combination packagings use glass inners up to 10 kg, plastics up to 30 kg, metal up to 40 kg, or paper or fibre up to 10 kg, in drums, boxes or jerricans; single drums, jerricans, boxes and bags, composite packagings and pressure receptacles meeting 4.1.3.6 are also allowed, each with the listed net mass. Plastics, paper and fibre inners, fibre drums and fibreboard boxes must be sift-proof; paper and fibre inners, single boxes and bags must not be used for substances that may liquefy in transit; and packing group II goods in bags must travel in a closed vehicle or container.

- Paper and fibre inners, single boxes and bags: not for substances that may become liquid during carriage.
- Bags for packing group II: only in a closed vehicle or container.
