ADR packing instruction P621
Heading in ADR: “P621 PACKING INSTRUCTION”
Clinical waste UN 3291: PG II packagings for solids with absorbent, or PG II liquid-rated packagings for more liquid; sharps need puncture-resistant packaging.
Covers UN 3291. The general rules apply except 4.1.1.15. Where there is enough absorbent material for all the liquid and the packaging can retain liquids, drums, boxes or jerricans meeting packing group II performance for solids may be used. Packages with larger quantities of liquid need drums, jerricans or composite packagings meeting packing group II performance for liquids. Packagings for sharp objects such as broken glass and needles must resist puncture and retain liquid under the Chapter 6.1 test conditions.
