UN 2800 batteries must be protected against short circuit and packed securely in strong outer packagings.

For batteries of UN 2800 under P003, the batteries must be protected from short circuits and packed securely in strong outer packagings. Two notes follow: non-spillable batteries that are an integral, necessary part of mechanical or electronic equipment must be fastened securely in the equipment battery holder and protected against damage and short circuit; and used UN 2800 batteries are covered by P801.
