ADR special packing provision PP41
UN 2803 gallium may be overpacked with dry ice or other refrigerant to stay solid, with material, venting and support rules.
When gallium (UN 2803) has to be kept cold to stay fully solid, the P800 packagings may be placed in a strong, water-resistant overpack holding dry ice or another refrigerant. If the coolant could cause asphyxiation, 5.5.3 applies. All packaging materials must resist the refrigerant chemically and physically and keep their impact resistance at its low temperature. With dry ice the overpack must let carbon dioxide escape, and interior supports must keep the contents from shifting once the refrigerant has gone.
Note. Appears only in P800.
