ADR special packing provision PP91

UN 1044 large fire extinguishers may go unpackaged if 4.1.3.8.1 (a)–(e) are met and valves and fittings are protected.

Under P003, large fire extinguishers (UN 1044) may also be carried without packaging. Conditions: 4.1.3.8.1 (a) to (e) must be satisfied; valve protection must use one of the methods in 4.1.6.8 (a) to (d); and any other equipment fitted must be guarded against accidental activation. "Large fire extinguishers" here are the ones covered by special provision 225, indents (c) to (e).
