ADR tank code L10CH

ADR tank code for Classes 1 and 3–9: liquid tank, 10 bar, openings C, hermetically closed.

L10CH is decoded part by part from the 4.3.4.1.1 table for Classes 1 and 3–9. Part 1 "L" is a tank for liquid-state substances (liquids, or solids handed over molten); part 2 "10" is minimum calculation pressure of 10 bar (see 6.8.2.1.14). Part 3 "C" (openings): filled and discharged from the top; below the liquid surface there are cleaning openings only. Part 4 "H" (safety valves/devices): the tank is hermetically closed (see 1.2.1). The code gives the least stringent tank accepted; others may be used under the hierarchy in 4.3.4.1.2.
