ADR tank code S10AH
ADR tank code for Classes 1 and 3–9: solid tank, 10 bar, openings A, hermetically closed.
S10AH is decoded part by part from the 4.3.4.1.1 table for Classes 1 and 3–9. Part 1 "S" is a tank for solid-state substances (powdery or granular); part 2 "10" is minimum calculation pressure of 10 bar (see 6.8.2.1.14). Part 3 "A" (openings): filling or discharge openings at the bottom, each with 2 closures. Part 4 "H" (safety valves/devices): the tank is hermetically closed (see 1.2.1). The code gives the least stringent tank accepted; others may be used under the hierarchy in 4.3.4.1.2.
