The M1 (IATA code AMJ) is a full-height 96 × 125 inch main-deck container — a contoured enclosed 'igloo' on the PMC pallet base, external roughly 318 × 244 × 244 cm. Used on Boeing 747 and 777 freighters for general cargo, its rigid walls give better protection than an open pallet. The code for M1 is AMJ (or AMA), not AAF — AAF is the separate lower-deck LD-26 container.
