ADR mixed packing provision MP24

Explosives listed in the MP24 table may be mixed: 'A' pairs without a mass limit, 'B' pairs up to 50 kg of explosive substances in total.

MP24 allows goods to be packed with the UN numbers set against them in a cross-reference table of Class 1 entries. Where the table shows A, the two UN numbers may share a package with no special mass limit. Where it shows B, they may share a package provided the explosive substances total no more than 50 kg. A mixed package may need its classification revised under 2.2.1.1, and 5.4.1.2.1 (b) governs the description in the transport document.
