ADR packing instruction P002
Heading in ADR: “P002 PACKING INSTRUCTION (SOLIDS)”
General packing instruction for solids: combination, single, composite packagings and pressure receptacles, with net mass limits by packing group.
The default instruction for solids. It allows combination packagings, single drums, jerricans, boxes and bags, composite packagings and pressure receptacles meeting 4.1.3.6, each with a maximum net mass by packing group, subject to the general rules of 4.1.1 and 4.1.3. Single boxes and bags are not allowed at all for packing group I. Several packaging types are barred where the solid may turn liquid during carriage (see 4.1.3.4), paper and fibre inners are barred for packing group I, and plastics, paper and fibre inners must be sift-proof.
