ADR special provision 289
Safety devices, electrically initiated or pyrotechnic, already fitted in vehicles, vessels, aircraft or finished components are outside ADR.
Electrically initiated and pyrotechnic safety devices are exempt from ADR once they are installed in a vehicle, wagon, vessel or aircraft, or in a finished component such as a steering column, door panel or seat.
