For machinery or apparatus holding dangerous goods as residue or integral part, limited to LQ-eligible goods within column (7a) per item.

The entry is only for articles such as machinery, apparatus or devices that hold dangerous goods as a residue or as an integral element. It may not be used where Table A already has a proper shipping name for the article. The goods inside must be ones allowed under Chapter 3.4 (limited quantities), and each item may not exceed its column (7a) quantity. Different dangerous goods in one article must be enclosed separately so no dangerous reaction between them can occur, as 4.1.1.6 requires. Where liquids must stay upright, orientation arrows go on at least two opposite vertical sides, pointing correctly, per 5.2.1.10.
