Waste aerosols and gas cartridges may travel as UN 1950/2037 for recycling or disposal, packed per P207/P003 or LP200; pierced non-toxic ones are exempt.

Waste aerosols and waste gas cartridges consigned under 5.4.1.1.3.1 may use UN 1950 or UN 2037 for reprocessing or disposal. They need not be secured against movement and accidental discharge if dangerous pressure build-up and dangerous atmospheres are controlled. Intact waste aerosols are packed to P207 with PP87, or LP200 with L2, and intact waste gas cartridges to P003 with PP17 and PP96, or LP200 with L2. Leaking or badly deformed items go in salvage pressure receptacles or salvage packagings, with measures against pressure build-up. By sea, waste aerosols and gas cartridges may not go in closed containers. Pierced waste gas cartridges that held non-flammable, non-toxic Class 2 gases of group A or O are exempt from ADR.
