ADR special provision 338
Liquefied flammable gas fuel cell cartridges: withstand 2 × equilibrium pressure at 55 °C, at most 200 ml gas, vapour pressure ≤ 1 000 kPa, hot water bath test.
Every fuel cell cartridge under this entry designed for a liquefied flammable gas must meet three conditions. It must resist, without leaking or bursting, at least twice the equilibrium pressure of its contents at 55 °C. It may hold no more than 200 ml of liquefied flammable gas, with a vapour pressure no higher than 1 000 kPa at 55 °C. It must pass the hot water bath test of 6.2.6.3.1.
| Value | Applies when |
|---|---|
| 2 times equilibrium pressure at 55 °C | minimum pressure withstood |
| 200 ml | maximum liquefied flammable gas |
| 1 000 kPa at 55 °C | maximum vapour pressure |
