ADR special provision 356
Metal hydride storage systems for installation in vehicles, vessels, aircraft or machinery need prior approval by the country of manufacture.
Metal hydride storage systems intended for fitting in vehicles, wagons, vessels, aircraft, engines or machinery need approval from the competent authority in the manufacturing country before they can be accepted for carriage. Either the transport document states that the package has that approval, or a copy of the approval travels with every consignment. If the country of manufacture is not an ADR Contracting Party, the approval needs recognition by a competent authority in an ADR Contracting Party.
