ADR special provision 373

Neutron radiation detectors with boron trifluoride: per-detector limits, packing rules and a document statement; ≤ 1 g units are outside ADR.

Neutron radiation detectors containing boron trifluoride gas that is not under pressure may use this entry when conditions (a) to (c) are met. Packing instruction P200 does not apply, and the transport document must carry the special provision 373 statement. Detectors holding at most 1 g of boron trifluoride, solder glass jointed types included, are exempt from ADR when they satisfy (a) and are packed as in (b). Detection systems containing such detectors are exempt when packed as in (c).
