ADR special provision 522
Perchloric acid solution > 50 % to ≤ 72 % (UN 1873) is Class 5.1; above 72 %, or mixed with non-water liquids, carriage is prohibited.
Aqueous perchloric acid with more than 50 % and at most 72 % pure acid by mass (UN 1873) is Class 5.1. Solutions above 72 % pure acid by mass, and perchloric acid mixed with a liquid other than water, are not accepted for carriage.
