ADR special provision 558
Pyrophoric metals and alloys are Class 4.2; non-water-reactive, non-self-heating but readily ignitable ones are Class 4.1.
Metals and metal alloys in pyrophoric form belong to Class 4.2. Metals and alloys that neither release flammable gas with water nor are pyrophoric or self-heating, yet ignite easily, belong to Class 4.1.
