ADR special provision 583

Covers LPG-type mixtures A, A01, A02, A0, A1, B1, B2, B and C, defined by vapour pressure at 70 °C and density at 50 °C.

Among other things the entry covers hydrocarbon gas mixtures graded by maximum vapour pressure at 70 °C and minimum density at 50 °C, from Mixture A (1.1 MPa, 0.525 kg/l) up to Mixture C (3.1 MPa, 0.440 kg/l). Mixtures A, A01, A02 and A0 may alternatively be named "Butane" and Mixture C "Propane" as the technical name for 5.4.1.1. A footnote restricts the trade names Butane or Propane in tank carriage to use as a complement only.

Note. The table is scrambled in the extracted text: pressures and densities print in separate column runs and were paired in row order (A to C). The footnote on tank carriage is cut off at the page edge after "as a complement"; verify against the printed page before relying on its full wording.
