ADR special provision 640I
SP 640 letter I: "Special provision 640I" in the document for ADR tanks; marks UN 1790 hydrofluoric acid with more than 85 % hydrogen fluoride.
Under special provision 640, the column (2) characteristics decide which tank code applies within one packing group, and for ADR tank carriage the transport document must add "Special provision 640" with the column (6) letter — here 640I. The particular may be left out when the tank meets at least the most stringent requirements for the UN number and packing group. In Table A, 640I is on UN 1790 HYDROFLUORIC ACID, Class 8, packing group I, with more than 85 % hydrogen fluoride.
