ADR special provision 640J

SP 640 letter J: "Special provision 640J" in the document for ADR tanks; marks UN 1790 hydrofluoric acid with > 60 % to ≤ 85 % HF.

Under special provision 640, different tank codes within one packing group follow from the column (2) characteristics, and ADR tank consignments must show "Special provision 640" with the column (6) letter — here 640J — in the transport document, unless the tank meets at least the most stringent requirements for the UN number and packing group. In Table A, 640J is on UN 1790 HYDROFLUORIC ACID, Class 8, packing group I, with a hydrogen fluoride content above 60 % and up to 85 %.
