ADR special provision 640K
SP 640 letter K: "Special provision 640K" for ADR tanks; marks UN 1202 gas oil/diesel/light heating oil, flash-point ≤ 60 °C.
Special provision 640 links the column (2) characteristics to different tank codes within a packing group; for carriage in ADR tanks the transport document adds "Special provision 640" with the column (6) letter — here 640K — unless the tank meets at least the most stringent requirements for the UN number and packing group. In Table A, 640K is on UN 1202 (gas oil, diesel fuel or light heating oil), Class 3, packing group III, flash-point 60 °C or lower.
