ADR special provision 640L
SP 640 letter L: "Special provision 640L" for ADR tanks; marks UN 1202 diesel/gas oil/light heating oil meeting EN 590:2013 + A1:2017.
Under special provision 640, tank codes within a packing group differ by the column (2) characteristics, and for ADR tank carriage the transport document carries "Special provision 640" with the column (6) letter — here 640L — unless the tank meets at least the most stringent requirements for the UN number and packing group. In Table A, 640L is on the UN 1202 row (Class 3, packing group III) for diesel fuel complying with EN 590:2013 + A1:2017, or gas oil or light heating oil with a flash-point as specified in that standard.
