Breathing-apparatus cylinders built to Directive 97/23/EC or 2014/68/EU may go without Chapter 6.2 if inspected per 6.2.1.6.1 and P200 intervals.

Cylinders for breathing apparatus that are designed, built, approved and marked under the Pressure Equipment Directive (97/23/EC or 2014/68/EU) may be carried without meeting Chapter 6.2. They must undergo the inspections and tests of 6.2.1.6.1 within the test interval of packing instruction P200, and the hydraulic test uses the pressure marked on the cylinder under the directive.
