ADR special provision 668
Hot road-marking substances and crack-repair bitumen are outside ADR if only Class 9, boiler skin ≤ 70 °C, closed, ≤ 3 000 l.
Road-marking materials and bitumen or similar products for repairing cracks in existing road surfaces, carried at elevated temperature, fall outside ADR when four conditions are met: they meet no class criteria other than Class 9; the outer surface of the boiler stays at or below 70 °C; the boiler is closed so nothing is lost in carriage; and the boiler holds no more than 3 000 l.
