ADR tank special provision TA2
Tank carriage allowed under competent-authority conditions of the country of origin, based on type-approval tests showing it is safe.
The substance may go in fixed tanks, demountable tanks or tank-containers on conditions set by the competent authority of the country of origin, once tests have satisfied that authority that carriage is safe. If the country of origin is not an ADR party, the competent authority of the first ADR country the consignment reaches must recognise the conditions. Results of the type-approval tests go into the type-approval report.
Conditions
- Tests show all materials normally in contact with the substance in transit are compatible with it.
- Tests give data for designing the emergency pressure-relief devices and safety valves, taking the tank's design into account.
- Tests establish any special requirements needed for safe carriage.
