ADR tank special provision TU9
UN 1203 petrol with vapour pressure at 50 °C above 110 kPa and up to 150 kPa may also use tanks designed to 6.8.2.1.14 (a) with 6.8.2.2.6 equipment.
Petrol (gasoline), UN 1203, whose vapour pressure at 50 °C is more than 110 kPa (1.1 bar) but no more than 150 kPa (1.5 bar) is additionally permitted in tanks whose design follows 6.8.2.1.14 (a) and whose equipment meets 6.8.2.2.6.
| Value | Applies when |
|---|---|
| 50 °C | temperature at which the vapour pressure is measured |
| 110 kPa | vapour pressure must exceed this (1.1 bar) |
| 1.1 bar | lower vapour pressure bound in bar |
| 150 kPa | vapour pressure must not exceed this (1.5 bar) |
| 1.5 bar | upper vapour pressure bound in bar |
