ADR bulk carriage code VC3
Bulk carriage allowed in specially equipped vehicles or containers built to standards set by the country-of-origin authority.
VC3 allows bulk carriage in vehicles or containers specially equipped to standards fixed by the competent authority of the country of origin. Where the origin country is not an ADR Contracting Party, the first ADR Contracting Party the consignment arrives in must have its competent authority recognize those conditions. For molten aluminium (UN 3257), AP11 in 7.3.3.2 spells out what those standards are.
Note. The link to molten aluminium comes from the AP11 text, which refers back to VC3.
