ADR special provision 273
Self-heating-stabilized maneb need not go in Class 4.2 if a 1 m³ test sample held at 75 °C for 24 h neither self-ignites nor exceeds 200 °C inside.
Maneb and maneb preparations that have been stabilized against self-heating may be left out of Class 4.2 when testing shows the material is safe. The test uses a cube of 1 m³ of the substance kept at no less than 75 °C ± 2 °C for 24 hours. It passes if the cube does not ignite of its own accord and the centre temperature stays at or below 200 °C.
