ADR tank special provision TE24

Bitumen tanks with a spray bar may replace the 6.8.2.2.2 closing device by a shut-off valve on the discharge pipe ahead of the spray bar.

Where a tank used to carry and handle bitumen has a spray bar at the end of its discharge pipe, the closing device required by 6.8.2.2.2 may be swapped for a shut-off valve fitted on the discharge pipe upstream of the spray bar.

Note. TE24 is printed in a single (left-hand) column. Under 6.8.1.1, text set in one column binds only the left-hand group (battery-vehicles, demountable tanks, tank-vehicles) or only the right-hand group (MEGCs, tank swap bodies, tank-containers).

Refers to: 6.8.2.2.2.
