ADR tank special provision TU41

Tank suitability must be shown to the competent authority of every country of transit or destination; the substance must not be left long enough to cake.

The substance's fitness for tank carriage must be proven to the satisfaction of the competent authority in each country the load passes through or enters. The evaluation method must be approved by a competent authority of an ADR Contracting Party. That authority may accept an approval from a non-Contracting country if it was granted under the procedures of ADR, RID, ADN or the IMDG Code. The substance must not remain in the tank long enough to cake, and measures such as cleaning are needed to prevent build-up and packing.
